Beauty Routine For The Perfect Natural Glow

Glow Up - Show Up!

BOLD MINIMALISTIC BEAUTY ROUTINE FOR THE PERFECT NATURAL GLOW ALL 2020!

I’m a believer in less is more. I’m quite a minimalist in my beauty routine as well as various parts of my life. I work an office job Monday to Friday and I workout 4-5 days a week so I am pretty active.

I need a routine that does not require too much effort. Weekends I tend to wear makeup if I’m going anywhere or filming a YouTube video. Weekdays I tend to opt for sunscreen and a good moisturizer, with an oil-free serum. As much as I like to wear makeup, skincare is very important as it is your foundation, your canvas. I have a whole skincare routine that I do regularly.

Daily I wear a sunscreen with 50spf alongside Glossier’s priming face moisturizer even if I am not wearing makeup that day. To finish it off I wear Glossier’s oil serum hybrid Future Dew. It’s described as the last step in your skincare routine before you put on foundation etc but you can just use it as a stand-alone product. It gives a nice glow but not like you’re sweating, it looks like you’re glowing from within... your skin but better.

My skin type is normal combination depending on the weather. If you’re an oily girl trust me, you will like this product as much as me...

Now the foundation is set my top ten beauty products to look out for this year are:

Estee Lauder double wear foundation. I heard about this product years ago and thought oh it was just another foundation on the market but this foundation is the best. It’s medium to full coverage and it gives your face a nice canvas. Sometimes I tend to wear this alone with no concealer and a nice highlight and a little contour. Oh on the plus it has SPF10.

If you’re looking for a lightweight foundation I also love Glossier foundation... Its sheer coverage and gives a ‘I woke up like this’ vibe.

I tend to not wear concealer often as my eyes are quite sensitive to the weather elements so this foundation also works as my concealer which keeps my beauty routine minimal. If I do wear concealer I opt for NARS creamy concealer in the shade Macao or the Glossier Stretch Concealer.

I keep my eyes bare usually for the same reason as above (the weather elements + sensitive eyes) when I am feeling risky I use a black drugstore eyeliner from Collection 2000. I don’t usually wear mascara as I find it’s too much effort, that’s why I get my lashes done every 2/3 months. I’m a bronzer gal over a blush girl ever since I discovered Fenty Beauty’s Sun Stalk’r in shade Cocoa Naughty. It’s the perfect black girl friendly bronzer shade, it gives me a nice warm flush of color without looking like I’ve rolled my cheeks in a pink jam. Highlighters are one of my favorite beauty products. I went from about 15 highlighters not including pallets to about 3. My favorite highlighter at the moment is Glossier’s Haloscope. It’s a lightweight stick and it gives a lovely healthy dewy glow from within. I use the shade Topaz.

Lips lips lips. Now! This is another one of my favorite beauty products. Gloss and mattes, in nude/pink shades I am sold. I have been leaning towards recently the Glossier - lip balm dot com, It’s a lovely texture that gives your lips a nice subtle sheen as well as smelling so lovely! My favorite flavors are cherry, mango, and rose. Try it out, you won’t regret it.

No makeup set is complete without a setting/finishing spray. My favorite one you got to try is the MAC finishing spray. They have a lot of flavors but I tend to stick to the original scent. Mac finishing spray is great for making your skin look like skin. Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray is a great one if you’re out and out all day and you need your makeup to last all day. A new discovery of mine has also been the Barry M setting spray, a lovely affordable brand with a dewy glow that’ll make the sun jealous.

There you have it, these are the top makeup brands that I love and use regularly.
